Leadership, resilience and career progression do not always follow a traditional path.

Phil Jones, Managing Director of Brother UK, shares his journey from growing up in a council house to leading a major organisation, having bypassed university along the way.

He reflects on what he has learned about leadership, including the importance of looking after yourself in order to lead others effectively, and how strong relationships sit at the centre of successful teams.

Phil also offers a perspective on non-academic routes, and how they can become a strength rather than a limitation.
